2008 Octoberfest-Stuttgart Germany

A view from Robinson Barracks looking down at the Octoberfest--neat view

The tent where John played his gig

One of the highlights of this gig....we got to see JDV! We hadn't seen him in years....From Tops in Blue.....him and his wife Julia are stationed there. They are also expecting--congrats guys!

Evan sporting a german military hat....the band traded theirs for the german hats! The entire tent was doing this and during the show two guys traded entire uniforms right down in front, down to their scivies-how funny.

update....

Well we're off to the Stuttgart "Octoberfest" --John's got a gig and Beth said she'd watch the doggies soooo we're off. YES!!!!! We also had a doggie visitor last night that stayed over night, "Luna" a yellow lab, she was a great house guest, and Bruno and Bandit did pretty well....a few little things but over-all a great stay for all pups. Friday night we went to the Tops in Blue show and it was pretty good, better then in years past and we saw alot of our stuff recycled (which made John and I smile) we brought Fish and his girls too and they had a good time. We will be back on tues just in time for me to teach my classes. I will have alot of pics to post when we get back as I have figured out how to download my pics from my rebel cam. anyway also we are thinking of you Rob and Kelly and Leon---hope this hurricane doesn't effect you guys, we'll be watching the news......oh yea Evan is now officially crawling on hands and knees so cute

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LESLIE!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LESLIE !!!!!!
Just wanted to wish Leslie a very happy birthday. This is my only pic with Leslie in it (sorry...) she's usually behind the camera, not in front of it, as you can see she is sporting a camara here when they went to Italy this past summer. Also pictured is her cool husband Mark (who works with John) in a red shirt and her two beautiful girls -who are awesome children-I might add-- A little about Leslie: she's an awesome photographer, wonderful and dedicated mom/wife. She has helped me through Evan feeding issues and is always there if you just need some support of any kind. What a great family....She is a creative scrapbooker and just an all-around great person to know. She is the true definition of FRIEND. Happy Birthday

Oh the beach....

Now that it's getting colder here I am already thinking of the warm weather for next summer...I'm so sad that winter is not to long away. Here is a pic from 2003 we took when we were in Diego Garcia (one of these most beautiful places on earth) maybe the thought of this place will keep warm thoughts for me....anyway also the beach pic might bring good news for John and I....There is now a very good chance our next set of military orders will say....Hickam AirBase Hawaii!!!!!!!But it will be some time before we know for sure but it's in the works....I will just have to wait....anyway we got a chance to talk to the girls last night and it had been a while, since it seems like there schedules and Johns never match up but they are doing great and John and I talked about how proud we are of these two girls last night before we went to bed. Miss ya guys so much!! More pics this week when I download a boatload of them off my Rebel camara

I just received a special package in the mail....

I just received a special package in the mail...it was a cd of my wedding photos and a release letter so that I can print them!!! so...yes I know that it is Years later but after several emails back and forth and asking the photographer (in which I was not pleased with the result) if I could just have what he has left and we could be done with this issue. I asked him to send it to my father, Sheriff Coffey. so I got my photos...and I am now happy....Here is just a few of them--what a great day for us...

This is one of John's favorites....

John and I--The girls (Jessica and Karleigh) and my good friend Courtney

There are more of these pics...I wasn't taking the photo op very seriously and got a case of the giggles...and they ended up being the favorites...

This is my Momma...isn't she pretty. My mother is -for sure-the number 1 mom on earth...I love you Mom!

This is the exact quote of this moment....."Hey mom can you cut me a piece of the orange cake?)

This is my Dad, he's pretty cool and when we danced he spun me. We danced to a song from the Forrest Gump soundtrack and it's one of his favorite songs ever.

I am so happy to have this cd, I have been waiting to get this because right after the wedding we only ordered one copy of each photo in 3x5 and that was it...the only hard copies...then the photographer lost some pics....didn't even take some of my family that was there......ie my GRANDFATHER ...how do you miss that???What did I hire a professional for if I had to go up to him and say excuse me could you take a pic of me and my grandad and me and my family!! ok I need to stop while I am ahead my blood pressure is rising...........................anyway now I can scrapbook and put an album together....

Evan figures out how to sit up

Hello, I just wanted to update tonight...Evan sat up on his own from his tummy for the first time today and it was so cute to watch and then he did it again tonight at Leslie's house. So far he has been able to sit up by himself for quite awhile, and then eventually makes it to his tummy but never the reverse so It was exciting for me. He is just getting so big and I am trying to savore every moment of his baby stage. ok so he's gone to bed....(it's 1:07 a.m.) and now I am going to bed Goodnight

9-11 Anniversary

Well-It being seven years since the Twin Towers came down......I feel the need to say something....I wish I had the words to express the emotion that runs through me still to this day because of the events of 9-11 . I was active duty the day it happened and feel very privleged to say that even though I was over-seas then, that I did something to help protect the US of A. Like I said, I wish I had the smarts to be able to express my patriotism and sacrifice surrounding that day and our service. I pray for the troops that are ALL OVER the world right now and for peaceful times ahead. I am so thankful that we have men and women looking out for us day and night. I can't even imagine the hurt of the people/families that lost in 9-11 and what they must go through everyday to try to recover not just on September 11th of each year that will pass for years and years and years to come.

Made the papers!!!!

Just wanted everyone to see that Touch n Go made one of the local papers here in town....(thanks Alex this is great) for an announcement that they will be performing in OUR town Gonbach this weekend. I am very excited.

Hello Everyone

Well it's been a while since I last posted....My internet connection has been quite hairy recently but it looks like we are up and running again....Not too much going on, we are laying low and just taking one day at a time....I got an email from mom about my nephew, Parker who has a heart condition which is not a big deal at this time. I also recently received a letter from my grandmother updating me on Billy and Olivia (my cute cousins) Billy is starting kindergarten and Olivia has been swimming like a fish this summer, I miss them and hate not being there to watch them get big. (I will post a few cute pics of them last year). so I've been getting some family updates and we were not able to come home this summer so I'm going through a "I really miss home right now" phase. But Mom and Dad will be here in a couple of months to see Evan and I just started teaching dance so I think I can keep myself buisy enough to get by. Will post more and pics very soon, Reporting from Germany: this has been Jamie Link :)
