John in Kyrgyzstan

I can't put into words how proud I am of what John is doing over there. When he tried to explain it to me, the well-spoken-bright-intelligent man couldn't find the words either...

Miracles do happen....

my miracle: Evan slept 5 min shy of a THREE hour nap today. These are the things I got done with that wonderful amount of time: de-poopied the back yard, trained/walked the dogs(in the driveway and yards), put a welcome basket together for our new american neighbors (with a homemade card), scrapbooked, cleaned the kitchen, started laundry, John called, blogged, and mopped the floor--YES YES YES today is a good day. He is now in bed at a decent hour and I am climbing into bed with a book for the night! This has been a REALLY good day. Good night

This post goes out to you, Daddy!

Hi Daddy, Just wanted to show off my t-shirt and rock star hat for ya, wish I could come hang out with the band....Mommy and I miss you but we're doing pretty good.

These were taken on Saturday, so you would have a very recent look at me :) I hope your doing good and I bet your buisy......Love ya dad and can't wait for your phone call

Monkey PJ's

These PJ's are my favorite on him (2nd to his Red Sox pj's-thanks Rob and Kelly) and soon he will grow out of them and I will miss seeing them on him, they are just so stink'n cute on him. Picture taken a few min ago.....

What is Evan up to?

He loves his living room toy bin, but lately the new thing is to empty it....how fun for Evan but no so much....for mommy....ok it's really no big deal as long as he is having fun....He's getting a little too confident getting in and out of it so I will just watch him like a hawk, ok well try to--

quick trip to Prague

John surprised me with a little weekend getaway for our birthdays and his last weekend. So 5 and a half hours from Gonbach, we ended up in Prague (Praha) in Czech Republic. It was cold and rainy but it didn't matter, it was a pretty cool place. It's known for it's crytal shopping and other home made things.

On our way to the big castle.

This is the famous clock....it was said that the towns people were so proud of this clock and it's beauty that they blinded the man who created it so that he could never reproduce it. History is cool......the city has lots of it....

looking into the town square and approaching the clock..can you see all the people gathered? We waited to hear it chime and watch the little figures pop into the windows it was pretty neat

ooooh do I love the coffee....the latte with a shot of Bailys a nice little treat

After listening to the clock, this band formed and let it rip, it was kinda cool

As soon as we finished the hill to the castle everyone was gathered so we checked out what all the fuss was about...we guess a changing of the guard, really neat with really neat music coming from guards standing in the above windows man, we got lucky perfect timing!

walking by this window for a night walk, was this, being projected onto the window of this closed theatre, it was really neat....

A huge update

Winter......
I'm just not a huge fan of the winter months...and it's harder when the sun only comes out - what seems like- only a few min. a day about every three days or so. I have woken up to snow on the ground or fresh snow every morning this week...not my idea of huge fun but It does make for good pics sometimes, in which all were taken by opening my windows and peaking out.

So this is what our little musician has been up to lately....

A new guitar

watching his baby einstein...but only "baby Mozart"..it's the only thing that interests him that I put on the tv...not Barney, not other baby einstein dvd's, not sesame street, not other baby videos for his age...just this one and he will watch it beginning to end....sitting on his Pooh chair.

Our little sax player....he's destined for music....right???

Evan, caught in his living room toy box....I guess he thought it was just easier to play with everything if he was in the toys rather then getting them all out....

On another note....I feel like I have been slammed into single parenthood, and I just did not prepare for John's deployment when I should have, of course everything in the house just started to fall apart, the dogs are being bad, and I am sick and have a back injury.....when it rains it pours....but I am learning alot about myself and gaining more patience then I thought I'd ever have. So there is a good side, and I have wonderful friends who have helped out and are helping and things are getting fixed (as my internet is up and running so) I am trying to remain strong as this is just the beginning, and maybe I will come out of this whole thing just a little bit different (stronger and more independent) or just be thankful for the things and people I have in my life. I am having my moments but over-all am doing well and I have a good support system and other people to complain to when I need to....as I am not the only wife in this situation, and it's nice to know I am not alone.
Oh yea, it's a special day, sooooo , John if you are able to check this blog....Happy Valentine's Day and we can celebrate with an awesome dinner when you get home. I miss you so much and think of you everytime Evan says Da Da and now.....Daddieeeee - which is about every three min. wait to you hear him it's just so cute.....love you---my husband.........
