Needed cool thoughts for summer...

The actual base buildings. With Mt. Dundas in the background with some ice still in the water.
Mount Dundas and the amazing part was it looked so close and when the water is frozen over and you can walk to it, it took ALOT longer because the air is so pure and clear their, that it gave the "closer then it appears" look.

Down at the dock, with the base in the far background.

So while starting to feel the effects of summer in Europe with no air-conditioning, I thought back to something that was cool and breezy....I thought of Thule Air Base, Greenland where John and I spent 2004. John was stationed there on his remote and I got lucky and landed a civilian job up there. It was such a neat experience with lots of stories to tell. So...thinking back to the negative degree weather, it was enough for me to appreciate this nice warm weather in Germany. I guess sometimes I just need to put things into perspective to stop complaining.. :)
