Everyone meets at the "Mona Lisa" restuarant in town to hang up the traditional Kerwe pole and to announce the embarrasing stories of the town for the year, I don't understand who is being embarassed so Alex translates the funny stories for me--it's read by the "kerwe King" in funny rhymes and after each one a cheer is done and he drinks white wine--did I mention he's balanced on a tall ladder near where the pole hangs on the building
That's Kevin the Kerwe King with the pole ready to be hoisted into the air--many tractors and trucks are decorated for the parade
